EDTA 2Na, also known as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt, is a chelating agent that binds to polyvalent cations, such as calcium, iron, and copper. It’s used in a variety of applications, including:

● Medicine: To treat metal poisoning by chelating lead and copper, and to prevent blood coagulation

EDTA Na2 is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of 242°C and a flash point of over 100°C. It’s completely soluble in water, but is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
